Visiting Go Ape Wendover Woods is a great way to have some real high-level family fun.

As well as enjoying the breath-taking views of the Chilterns, Wendover woods is also home to one of the most extreme challenges Go Ape has to offer. The 'extreme' route will see you tackling a scrambling net and climbing wall and that's before you've even arrived at the crossing. If you and your family enjoy a challenge and love an adventure, you will love the tree-top high wires, rope crossings and zip wires that Go Ape has to offer.

Where to go?

The Gruffalo trail

The Gruffalo book by Julia Donaldson is a modern classic and captures the imagination of children from a very young age. So what better way to explore Wendover Woods with children than by following the Gruffalo trail? Follow the trail and enter the magical world of the Gruffalo and mouse. There's no such thing as a Gruffalo? You might be surprised. Hit the trail and see who you meet along the way. All might not be so quiet in the deep dark wood...

What to do?

Solve a mystery

From Go Ape you are just a stone's throw away from the city of Oxford, and there you will find a whole host of things to do. If your children enjoy exploring then one of the Oxford Treasure Trails will have them solving mysteries in true spy style. Follow the directions, hunt for clues, find hidden treasures and learn fascinating facts along the way. You will be working as a family to solve the mystery and find a solution. Trail booklets can be bought online for £6.99 (for the whole family).
