What's more, we’ve worked hand-in-hand with nature to create some of the UK’s most challenging Segway tracks with our Forest Segway Experience.

Tree Top Adventure

Our Dalby Forest high ropes course is famous for its epic Zip Wires with three of them crossing a valley 35m above the ground!  Speed through the air with the tree tops at your feet, and soak in uninterrupted views of the valley below. There's more than just serious air-time on this Tree Top Adventure with heart-thumping obstacles designed to challenge and thrill experienced and novice adventure-seekers alike. With 2-3 hours of action-packed adventure it's a day out not to be forgotten.

You’ll be amazed at how much taller little monkeys walk after completing this kids high rope course. It's a fun-filled hour of canopy exploring, trail blazing and obstacles for all to enjoy. They'll take on three loops of crossings and finish on a high with two awesome Zip Wires. The Flying Carpet at Dalby is an absolute corker!

Hills and thrills go hand in hand at Dalby Forest. On board our all-terrain Segways, we'll show you how to master steep inclines, leading to far-reaching views of the beautiful North Yorkshire moors. The route back to base camp includes purpose-built trails with fun bends and challenging corners – perfect for testing your new-found skills.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Wear sensible clothes for adventure
  • Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip off shoes, open toes or heels.
  • Gloves are a good idea. Bring a pair or buy them at the cabin on the day.
  • forestry commission parking is up to £9 for the day. £5 after 16:00. remember to bring some change

WHERE IS GO APE DALBY?

Situated on the southern slopes of the North York Moors National Park lies our white rose adventure. With miles of walking and biking trails taking in Staindale Lake, Adderstone and the Bridestones, there are plenty of sights to see from the ground too and more than one way to make it a whole day out.

By Car
Dalby Forest GoApe is situated just outside Pickering.

Dalby Forest can be reached from either the A169 Pickering to Whitby road (turning right at the Fox and Rabbit pub YO18 7NQ) or the A170 via Thornton Le Dale (turning left at the Buck Inn after lights). Follow the brown tourist signs for Dalby The Great Yorkshire Forest.

Be aware that the A64 Leeds to Scarborough is extremely busy during weekends and holiday periods and prone to delays so please ensure plenty of extra time is allocated for your journey.

Due to the rural nature of our location, the postcode is not accurate when using satellite navigation.Do not rely on Sat-nav directions for Dalby Forest as it WILL send you to the wrong location.

The nearest station to Dalby is Malton (14 miles).

The Coastliner bus stops in Thornton and runs from Leeds to Whitby

Opening Times

Our forest doors at Dalby are open nearly all year around so there's plenty of time to live life adventurously. 

However, we usually close after early December as not only does it get a little chilly we like to give our adventures a little TLC during this time.
