In Delamere Forest, you can battle your way from tree to tree on the Challenge course. This is a high one – 12 metres up and the stunning views are worth it. Treetop Adventure is the perfect high ropes course for children and adults finding their tree climbing feet.

A triple whammy of adventure

Adventure comes threefold at Delamere with Treetop Challenge, Treetop Adventure and Forest Segways.

You and the family can spend the entire day at Delamere Forest. Cheshire's largest area of woodland, Delamere Forest is home to a rare ‘quaking bog’ and the beautiful Blakemere Moss – a flooded wetland formed during the Ice Age.

You'll also find a number of easy-going walking trails with incredible views and plenty of wildlife.

Bring your bikes or hire some if you‘d like to explore the forest on two wheels. Or for an extra dose of fun, enjoy a ride on one of our Forest Segways!

Gruffalo Orienteering is a fun family map reading challenge. Using a simple map can you and the children find the twelve Gruffalo markers hidden deep in the wood?

Worked up an appetite? Bring a picnic or grab a bite to eat and a drink at the café in Delamere Forest.

make a day of it

  • Hire a bike and tackle the mountain bike trails.
  • Climb the 176 metre-high Old Pale Hill.
  • Discover some of Delamere Forest's wildlife.

  • Soak up the sunshine or warm up indoors at the nearby café.

  • Brilliant. Good fun. Highly recommend

  • Great day out in beautiful setting Staff friendly and very thorough

  • Bought for partners birthday gift. We are both scared of heights but the staff/centre are very supportive. They give you the option to leave with a refund before you start if you change your mind, also each climb is divided into five separate courses so if you’ve had enough and don’t want to continue, you can wimp out like I did (after the 3rd one!). The zip lines are fun! You are ALWAYS attatched and the staff really drum this in to you from start to finish, and even though the staff don’t come up with you they are always at the bottom for support. Be prepared, it’s quite high but great for conquering your fears! Great day. Thanks

  • What a fantastic experience. We attended the Delamere Forest adventure (13yr, 11yr, 8yr, 5yrold and myself). I have to say the staff were all lovely, enthusiastic and encouraging and were on hand for any difficulties. We would definitely visit again.

  • We had a great time and my 6 year old twins loved it! Staff were so helpful and encouraging to the kids
