Sundown Sessions at Go Ape Southampton

You can swing through the trees on Treetop Adventure this October half term at Go Ape Southampton.  With minimal lighting, these sense heightening experiences really do add a new level of excitement into the mix. After all, everybody knows that when the sun goes down the real fun begins…

What and when can I book?

Treetop Adventure: 18:15 onwards on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th October and Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st October.

How do I book?

1. Click the ‘book now’ button at the top of your screen.
2. Choose your preferred location and chosen activity. 
3. Select your date and time, Sundown Sessions usually start after 5pm, but times can vary by site.
4. From here, follow the usual check-out process, but be quick as spaces are limited!

ADVENTURERS STEP THIS WAY

You’ll find Go Ape Southampton in Itchen Valley Country Park. This 440 acres of beautiful water meadows, woodland and meadows are situated beside the River Itchen and has been recognised by the award of a Green Flag for the past four years.

As Southampton’s hub for outdoor activities there’s a lot to keep the family entertained and busy. With two play areas to choose from, linked by the Play Trail which is made up of a series of animal sculptures for children to play on the whole family are sure to have a great time.

You’ll also find a number of trails to guide you through the beautiful country park including the Keepers Trail, Nature Detective Trail and Tree Trail. For the more adventurous there are two permanent orienteering courses which are designed so you don’t need a compass.

There are regular activities provided throughout the year for children so make sure you check the park’s website to see what’s on when you visit. With an onsite café serving hot and cold food and drinks and a picnic site, there’s plenty of opportunity for those all-important refuel moments.

things to do in southampton

know before you go

  • Wear sensible clothes for adventure.
  • Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip off shoes, open toes or heels.
  • Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.

Make A Day of It

  • Relax, unwind and tuck into some tasty food at the Woodland Café.
  • Let the children blow off steam in the adventure playgrounds.
  • Test your sense of direction on one of the orienteering trails.

Not too far away from Go Ape at Moors Valley Country Park, Southampton, Alice Holt and Bracknell, cabins are nestled among tall beech trees in a corner of secluded forest. Explore the Hampshire countryside on riverside and forest walks; hike across the downs and stop off at quaint village pubs; climb hills and walk along chalkland ridges for fabulous views all the way down to the south coast.
