Why Work at Go Ape?

Why join the Go Ape tribe?

Each week, we welcome thousands of people into the trees across our 36 forest locations nationwide. Thousands who want to get outdoors, and challenge themselves and live life more adventurously.

This takes loads of brilliant people, from instructors and cabin crew (not the type you see on aircraft) in the forests to supporting roles.

Success means much more than just sharing profits. We work hard to ensure Go Ape is a place where we all enjoy coming to work and is a business co-owners can take great pride in and have a meaningful sense of shared ownership.

Joining Go Ape you’ll feel a great sense of camaraderie and connectedness within the teams, and we’re committed to training you to our high standards with Go Ape’s in-house training programme - a mixture of online and practical development.

"Working at Go Ape helps give you that ‘can do’ attitude and shows that it’s important to push yourself out of your comfort zone to develop further, which is a lesson that resonates far beyond the workplace and affects how I approach life in general now."

Go Ape goes employee owned

Go Ape is now Employee Owned that means every Go Ape employee whether full time, part time or a seasonal worker are now co-owners of the business. As a co-owner you will be empowered to voice your opinions and ideas through an elected Employee Council and have a real say in helping to shape the business. There is also the potential to award tax-free bonuses to all co-owners. We know our teams are the people most passionate about the company and its values and they should also reap the rewards for their hard work and dedication.

Committed to doing the right thing

In other exciting news we’re working towards our ISO 140001 certification, meaning we can truly demonstrate that we put people and planet before profit! Plus we’re incredibly proud to have raised over £195k for the Prince’s Trust between 2021-2023, and in 2024 we launched our very own Go Ape Foundation!

We know the impact that pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zones can have and our purpose is to help people to overcome financial challenges to access adventure. Working with the charities, Go Beyond and Free to Be Kids we will help provide transformative adventures to vulnerable children and young people.
